Tackling the downhill you can experience all the thrills of a flying two-wheeled descent on specially designed, equipped and reserved routes. Opened in Madesimo 2011 the MadeBike Park serves up gravity trails in Valtellina suitable for both beginners and experts alike. Just as in winter on the ski slopes, the bike park has “runs” of differing levels: blue, red and black slopes. Access to the bike park is via the Larici Cable Car which departs from the central pedestrian area in Madesimo. By purchasing the bikepass, in less than five minutes you’ll be up at the Alpe Groppera area from where the trails set out.

BALLOON

An easy and fun-packed blue track, ideal for beginners, experienced bikers can find rhythm and precision and can introduce their friends to freeriding.

EASY PIPE

LARICI

Technique and fun are the key elements of this red track which meanders along the line of the old sledging run. A first stretch within a natural pipe with continual changes of gradient and a second of a more rocky nature guarantee some heady thrills and spills. In the middle section there's a chance to come down on the Holy Jump stretch of black track, slopestyle with jumps, gangplanks and wall.

MADE 4 FUN

Completely upgraded in 2017 in a new school perspective, with jumps, wooden structures and parabolics. And a finale involving a series of hairpin turns delivering you to the departure zone of the Lago Azzurro chairlift.

CRESTINO

Completely natural freeride line. Rocky territory, with walkways and bridges to cross the marshy areas, in the best north shore tradition. The middle section of the run develops into a more compact and smoothed-down undergrowth before joining the last section of the Made 4 Fun.

An amazing natural black run in the woods, with roots, jumps, technical passages and challenging slopes. One of the many winter off-piste tracts at Madesimo, where the choice of the best line of attack is left up to the biker's interpretation.

PUMP TRACK AND SKILL PARK

Completing the possibilities served up by the MadeBike Park is the pump track, an enclosed circuit built in wood with curves and humps, and the skill park, a practice area not just for the little ones.

PUMP TRACK

At Madesimo, where the Lago Azzurro chairlift departs and the arrival point of the “Valle delle Streghe DH”, bikers can access the pump track for free. It’s a wooden structure, all humps and parabolic (“tracks”), to be negotiated using legs and arms, without having to pedal, but taking advantage of the “pump” force of arms and legs. At the outset you might feel a little awkward, but after a few confidence-boosting rounds it will be genuine fun.
Access is free from June to September and open to all types of mountain-bike. Suitable for everyone from novice to expert who’s eager to improve their riding technique.

SKILL PARK

Situated within the pedestrian area, Madesimo’s skill park is the perfect spot for young and old who want to make their first tentative entrée into the world of MTB. The skill park is a useful practice area with wooden obstacles to improve balance and riding skills.
Once your technique is sharpened up you can let yourself loose in the MadeBike Park!
The skill park is open every day with free access from June to September. It’s located in the pedestrian area at Madesimo (departure point of the Larici Cable car).
